Primarily, this knife is specifically designed to provide a quick way to change your cutting blade on the fly without fumbling or fuss thanks to the two 'buttons' or 'switches' located on either side of the knife, and the main blade 'reload' switch slider found on the top of the knife. On the right side of the knife, you can find a 'Blade Release' switch that will allow you to remove the current blade from the knife and discard it appropriately. Once the blade is ejected, simply slide the top switch back and forward to 'Reload' the knife with a fresh blade directly fed from the built-in 'mag'. Once all the blades in the current mag have been used, simply press the 'Mag Eject' switch and the mag will automatically eject from the bottom of the knife giving you the opportunity to refill the mag with a further set of 5 blades.

The blade 'mag' that works with the ToughBuilt TB-H4S2-03 Reload Utility Knife also features some excellent quality of life design features that not only improve the overall use of the Reload Knife but also further improve its handiness to those tradespeople who repeatedly use a different style of cutting blades while working; artificial grass installers, carpet fitters, etc. The extra Blade Mag includes 5 hook-style cutting blades and both mags can be unlocked forwards that reveal additional 5pc blade storage per mag - meaning you can carry 10 blades per mag and switch up blades in seconds. Each mag is also designed with a 'clicker' on the bottom which can be set to '1, 2 or 3' to identify which mag contains each style of blade.
